Killing of 13-year-old Israeli girl by Palestinian terrorist in Kyriat Arba

                  30.06.2016, Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue to fight terror wherever it may be and called on the world to condemn the murder of a 13 year-old girl by a Palestinian terrorist in Kiryat Arba, near Hebron,a‘’ just as they condemned the terror attacks in Brussels and Orlando.’’

Hillel Yafa Ariel died of her wounds after the terrorist, identified as 17-year-old Mohammed Taraireh from the village of Bani Na'im, near Kiryat Arba, broke into her house and stabbed her in her bed Thursday morning.

The Palestinian terrorist climbed over the security fence surrounding the Harsanina neighborhood, infiltrated one of the houses located just yards away from the fence.

The girl suffered from stab wounds all across her upper body, and was evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem where she later died of her wounds.

The terrorist also attempted to stab a 31-year-old man who is a part of the of settlement's civil security squad. The man was able to shoot the terrorist to death but suffered from bullet shrapnel to his upper body and legs .

The terrorist is a relative of the man who carried out a car ramming attack in Kiryat Arba in March.

In a statement, Netanyahu called on the enlightened nations of the world to put pressure on the Palestinian leadership to stop incitement.

"The horrifying murder of an innocent child in her bed sheds light on the bloodlust and lack of humanity displayed by the terrorists we are facing, brainwashed by incitement," he stated.

In an apparent reference to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Netanyahu said that the nations of the world must "put pressure on he who stands atop the network of incitement, which leads to the murder of children in their beds, and not on a country that acts to defend its children and citizens.”

Since the wave of terror attacks began in September 2015, 34 Israelis have been killed and 497 wounded.

There have been 152 stabbing attacks and 76 attempted stabbings, 94 shootings, 45 vehicular (ramming) attacks and one vehicle (bus) bombing.
