                  The ‘Menorah’ Jewish Center opened in Dnepropetrovsk

                  One of the largest Jewish Center’s in the world, ‘Menorah’, was opened in a grand opening ceremony participated by the community, philanthropist, rabbis and dignitaries. The center contains the largest Holocaust Museum in Europe.
                  More than 400 guests from Ukraine and around the world participated in the historical opening of the 7 buildings large ‘Menorah’ JCC of Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine – donated by the President of the Dnepropetrovsk Jewish Community, Mr.Gennandy Bogolubov and by the President of the United Jewish Community of Ukraine and the European Jewish Union, Mr. Igor Kolomoyskyi.
                  Alongside were present over 100 reporters from the various Russian and Ukrainian TV stations.
                  The Ceremony opened with Cantor Itche Meir Helfgot performing a heartfelt rendition of many famous Jewish songs.
                  Also participated: Israeli minister Mr. Yuli Edelstein; The president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS Mr. Levi Leviev; The Chief Rabbi of Dnepropetrovsk – Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzky; Israel’s Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar;Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar;
