Passover Gifts from Fellowship Foundation
23.04.2010, Community Life Thanks to the Fellowship Foundation, another humanitarian aid campaign took place recently, this time in the Siberian city of Barnaul.
Immediately following the Passover holiday, the Barnaul Jewish Community Center became involved in informing families in need that kosher food as well as footwear for the children would be distributed.
Throughout the day after Passover, the center was filled with children and their parents who excitedly choose brand-new shoes and sandals to help the children get through the upcoming spring and summer months. In addition, pre-packaged kosher meat was also distributed to families in need. Similar humanitarian aid projects in Jewish communities throughout the CIS have already taken place with the help of the Fellowship Foundation.
The recipients expressed their gratitude to the Fellowship Foundation, also known as the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, and its head Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, as well as the staff of the Barnaul Jewish Community Center.
